Frequently Asked Questions

Our Wolverhampton facility has a total production capacity exceeding 1 GWh. We currently supply clean energy storage solutions to over 20 overseas markets across Europe, Asia, and beyond — backed by reliable export experience and a dedicated logistics network.

Our end-to-end process covers four key stages:

1. Raw material procurement — We work directly with verified suppliers to ensure consistent material quality.
2. Pre-curing — Electrodes undergo a controlled pre-curing process to optimise electrochemical performance and longevity.
3. Cell assembly — Precision assembly of LiPo and LiFePO₄ cells with strict process controls.
4. Quality & dispatch — Every batch is tested and verified before packing for domestic or international delivery.

Frequent Questions

If you got questions, we have answers

Midlands Power’s company, all product lines (LiPo, LiFePO₄, and Semi-Solid) — click any question to expand the answer.

We manufacture a broad range of LiPo cells covering 39 product variants, including:

5C High Voltage Fast Charging Cells — for Agri, Logistics, Teaching & Training applications.

High Rate LCO Cells — high-rate Lithium Cobalt Oxide cells for demanding discharge scenarios.

Super High Voltage High Rate Cells — for Logistics, Mapping, Fire-Fighting & Emergency Response.

Capacities range from under 1,000 mAh up to 40,000 mAh, at voltages of 3.7V, 3.8V, 3.85V, and 3.95V.

Our LiPo cells are engineered for maximum energy density and high-rate performance:

— Energy density: 200–270 Wh/kg
— Self-discharge: less than 3% per month
— Operating temperature: -20°C to +60°C
— Continuous discharge: up to 10C; pulse rates beyond 20C
— Pre-cured electrodes ensure uniform porosity and consistent electrochemical performance
— Available in custom capacities, voltages, tab positions, and dimensions

Semi-solid cells represent an advanced battery technology sitting between traditional liquid electrolyte and solid-state chemistries. MidlandsPower offers 17 semi-solid variants, including the flagship Max — High Density Semi-Solid Cell at 3.7V / 20,000 mAh with 320 Wh/kg (High Nickel Ternary), and the Logistics/Mapping Semi-Solid High Rate Cell. These cells deliver superior energy density and enhanced safety characteristics — ideal for UAVs, logistics drones, and mapping applications.

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries are a safer, longer-lasting alternative to NMC or lead-acid batteries. Key advantages include:

— Cycle life: 2,000–5,000+ cycles at 80% depth of discharge
— Flat discharge curve: maintains ~3.2V per cell throughout most cycles
— Thermal stability: olivine crystal structure resists thermal runaway
— Low internal resistance: typically under 10mΩ per cell
— Wide SOC window: tolerant of partial-state-of-charge cycling

They are used in solar energy storage, EV applications, industrial backup power, and car emergency start / heavy truck start-stop systems.
